Leadership and Management
The search for more effective leadership appears to be as intense as ever - thrusting the spotlight on both leaders and those who select, assess, develop and manage them, or plan their succession. The pressures on leaders can be enormous, causing shorter job tenures and increasing levels of derailment. Moreover, CEOs are aware of how important good leadership development is. They are insisting on more targeted activities and, in leading organisations, are challenging those who have to buy or build better leaders. The reality is that leaders have to lead and manage, and vice versa for managers.
"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."
Charles Darwin
