Talent Management
Following the McKinsey Quarterly article, War for Talent, in 1998, the follow-up book three years later and CRF’s report, Effective Talent Management in 2003, talent management has become a hot topic. Evidence-based research is appearing, talent surveys are proliferating and a Google search of the term produces around 518,000 hits! Organisations keen on talent reflect contrasting experiences. Some struggle with defining what it means, while others see the potential but aren’t effective at a process level. A few organisations are producing outcomes from their talent efforts.
"Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What's a sun-dial in the shade?"
Benjamin Franklin
